The OC provides after-school activities for Ozark Schools students in kindergarten-6th grade from 3:30-6 p.m. Transportation is provided from schools to The OC when school is in session. The program includes swimming, gym games, homework time, crafts, and snacks. Register online or at the OC front desk. Prorated tuition in shorter school months. Cost is $115/month for annual members and $135/month for non-members.

Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri

Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri serves girls in 3rd-5th grades in Greene and Christian Counties. Trained volunteer coaches reach girls of all abilities in a team setting to strengthen their confidence and build life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons, and physical activity. At the end of the season, the teams complete a 5K together. If a GOTR team isn’t at your school, contact the office for information on starting a team.

SPARC (School-Parks Are Reaching Our Community) is a partnership between Springfield Public Schools and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. SPARC offers licensed before- and after-school childcare programs at nine SPS sites to with a snack and social time, engaging enrichment activities, mentoring, homework assistance, specialty clubs, and youth sports. Fees are $25-45/week; scholarships are available for eligible families.

The Music Studio helps children build a lifetime love of music and the arts. They offers vocal and music classes for homeschool students ages 6-19 through Class Act Homeschool Performing Arts where all students learn to read music, sing with correct vocal technique, perform with confidence and integrity, work together in an ensemble, and learn self-discipline. The Music Studio also offers private voice lessons and the Children’s Chorus of Springfield (ages 6-18; audition required).
